British Heart Foundation’s Nordic Walking mascotEvery Olympic host in moden times has to come up not just with world-class sports venues, accommodations for competitors, facilities for media and spectators, and perks for officials but also a mascot. Or several. What do yo think of the mascot to the right? It’s Norty, a Nordic Walking heart that I found through David Downer and Malcolm Jarvis’s Nordic Walking News, a weekly online bulletin that got it from Mike Rollasan of Nordic Walking UK. I checked the BHF website and couldn’t find Norty anywhere on the site. But I think he’s kinda cute, so here he is..
